Presentation case of the Dorothy Kenning Dux medal she won in 1936

Dorothy Kenning attended NRPS in the 1930s and was awarded Dux of the school in 1936. That year her teacher, the headmaster Mr Hamilton, taught her in one of the 1910 rooms. Dorothy walked to school through fields and orchards, her hair in plaits and carrying a leather satchel. A long-term resident of North Ryde, Dorothy celebrated her 90th birthday in September this year at St John’s church, next door to the school.
